If you're looking for a fun Easter egg hunt, this is it. The Stafford Parks & Rec Dept does a great job of making sure children of all ages have fun. For the littlest children, the eggs are easy to find. For the older kids, they're hidden pretty well.
Don't be late! The early events start right on time. If you're late, you'll miss some of the fun. And don't worry about getting here too early. There's plenty of stuff to do to keep the kids entertained. Come early and join us for some fun.
Don't forget to bring your camera. The Easter Bunny is usually there and loves to pose for pictures.
In 2011, lots of rain was predicted for Saturday, April 16th so they moved the event to Sunday. A day late, but still just as much fun!
In 2009 this event was held on April 4th. The day was beautiful and everyone had a great time. A lot of people told us what a lot of fun they had and how much they appreciated this great event from the Stafford Parks and Recreation Department. Every year Stafford's Parks and Rec Dept tries to put on a couple of really fun and affordable events for kids and families. Eggsplosion is consistently one of the best!
In 2008 this event was held on March 15th. We wondered if it would be warm enough to hunt Easter Eggs. It was. The weather was beautiful and the Stafford Parks and Recreation Department put on a fun event, as always.
In 2007 we had a fantastic time. There were lots of things to do besides just the Easter Egg hunt. Trust us. It's a lot of family fun. It's outdoors in the fresh air. And the children have a fantastic time. We hope you'll come join us, and bring your camera. You never know when there'll be a chance to get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Stafford County Parks & Recreation Department hosted this family-fun event at Curtis Memorial Park on March 31st.
We expected to have a good time, (because we always have a good time when we're at an event in Stafford County), but this one was particularly fun. There were moon bounces, slides, and all other manner of inflatable fun things. The kids were having a great time and the more the kids enjoy themselves, the more we enjoy ourselves. See our pictures below.
Curtis Memorial Park is located at 58 Jesse Curtis Lane off Hartwood Road (SR-612), 2 miles north of Warrenton Road (US-17).
