Market in the Park

Market in the Park is a special event that brings together artisans and craftsmen with the weekly farmer's market to create a very special shopping opportunity.

2005

In 2005, this was one of our favorite events. The day started early and ended early, which makes sense since it takes place in conjunction with the Farmer's Market.

2006

In 2006, the weather was uncooperative. A big storm was predicted for the scheduled day and the decision was made to postpone the event. But then, a funny thing happened. The weather looked okay and we were allowed to set up. In fact, several of the vendors actually showed up and we had a fairly good day. Then, we came back on Sunday, which was the make-up day.

2007

It looks like the 2007 event will be held on September 29th, which is the day of the Welsh Festival. That's where we're scheduled to be, one block over from the Market in the Park, at the James Monroe Museum.
