Spotsylvania Film Festival

2008

We're back! We'll be there for the 2008 Spotsylvania Film Festival. June 13th and 14th. Fun under the stars! We suspect there'll be a moon bounce. We imagine there'll be cotton candy and sno-cones. There'll be lawn chairs and children running and playing in fresh mown grass. There'll be moms chatting and children squealing and lots of fun. There might be babies sleeping on blankets and toddlers chasing after fireflies.

And there'll be the great smell of kettle korn. You know, kettle korn is the perfect food for a film festival. Get yourself one of our large bags. Tell us to leave it open and fill it all the way to the top. That makes the bag about 3 inches taller. And it gives you a lot more kettle korn to enjoy.

Oh yes, there's probably going to be a movie, too. Does it really matter which movie? We're already having fun. The kids, the kettle korn, the family together under the evening sky. Welcome to Spotsylvania and a night of great fun.

2007

Unfortunately, we weren't able to participate in the 2007 Spotsylvania Film Festival since it fell on the same weekend as the June Faire.

2005

Here's the blurb from the official web site: As darkness begins to fall and the stars begin to twinkle; return to the bygone era of the “Drive-in” movie. Legion Field behind the Marshall Center at Spotsylvania Courthouse will be equipped with a 20 foot high by 40 foot wide inflatable cinema quality movie screen and the Metro Technical Services’ professional sound and projection crew. There will be plenty of children's activities, and fabulous vendors with popcorn, sandwiches, pizza, snosno-cones, funnel cakes, candy, and ices. So bring your blankets or lawn chairs, but no pets, glass containers, alcoholic beverages or smoking. Admission is just $2 for everyone over 6 years old. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and the movie starts at dark. 2005 Spotsylvania Film Festival
