Victorian Festival in Staunton, VA. A great time to dress up in costume and enjoy some Kettle Korn.
Staunton, VA hosts a Victorian Festival during the last weekend in April. Arts, crafts, the parade in full costume finery, and of course, good food.
It's a short drive from Richmond and Fredericksburg to Staunton for a great time.
We really got into the spirit of things, dressing in Victorian dress. At the bottom of the page you'll see Eric in his vest and tie. Mom and Dad made a cute couple, if we do say so ourselves. And we've included a picture of a lady that stopped by wearing the prettiest hat.
At the 2005 festival, we had a little rain on Saturday but it didn't dampen our spirits. Sunday was a little different. The temperature dropped and it started blowing just a little snow. Snow in late April! Still, we had a great time and we're looking forward to next year.
At the 2006 Victorian Festival the crowds weren't quite as big but we still had a good bit of fun.
Here are a few of our pictures from Staunton.
