On Memorial Day weekend in 2005, we traveled to Walt="" titleon's Mountain Country Store for their Memorial Day Weekend Festival. Located in Faber, VA (71 River Road) at the intersection of US 29 and River Road (State Route 6), the store was right beside a river. When we weren't busy with kettle korn, we slipped down the bank to play in the river (creek?).
We remember the store as having very nice ice cream.
We also remember the great music at the festival.
We heard that the store has closed and they won't be having the festivals again. (heavy sigh!)
